The adjustment of the “top boss” of the Party Commission’s discipline inspection and supervision committee in sub-provincial cities such as Wuhan, Shenyang and Changchun.

Recently, multiple sub-provincial cities such as Wuhan in Hubei, Shenyang in Liaoning, and Changchun in Jilin have welcomed new leaders for the city’s discipline inspection and supervisory committee.

According to the WeChat public account “Wuhan People’s Congress,” on January 5, 2025, the 15th People’s Congress Standing Committee of Wuhan held its twenty-third meeting. Through a vote, Chen Guoliang was appointed as the deputy director of the Wuhan Supervisory Committee and was designated as the acting director.

Public information shows that Chen Guoliang is a male, Han Chinese born in November 1968. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Communist Party of China. He previously served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General of the Provincial Discipline Committee. In November 2023, Chen was appointed to serve as the leader of a provincial party committee working organization and later served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Party Inspection Office. Prior to his current appointment, Liu Hui, born in April 1966, served as a member of the Wuhan Municipal Standing Committee and Director of the Wuhan Supervisory Committee.

Recently, updates on the official website of the Shenyang municipal government show that Zhang Jihui has been appointed as a member of the Shenyang Municipal Standing Committee and candidate for Director of the Shenyang Supervisory Committee. Zhang Jihui is a male, Han Chinese born in January 1971. He holds a bachelor’s degree and is a member of the Communist Party. He previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Yingkou City Discipline Committee and Director of the Supervision Bureau, Chief Procurator of the Anshan City People’s Procuratorate, and Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Discipline Committee and Commissioner of the Provincial Supervision Committee. Prior to his current position, Yang Yuxin born in October 1965, held the position of a member of the Shenyang Municipal Standing Committee and Director of the Shenyang Supervisory Committee.

In addition, according to the website of Changchun Discipline Inspection and Supervision Committee, Li Hanqing has been appointed as a member of the Changchun Municipal Standing Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee. On December 26, 2024, Changchun’s 16th People’s Congress Standing Committee held its twenty-second meeting where Li Hanqing was appointed as Deputy Director of Changchun Supervision Committee and designated as its acting director. Li Hanqing is male, Han Chinese born in September 1972 in Baicheng Jilin province. He joined work in 1996 and joined the Communist Party in December 1995. He holds a master’s degree from Jilin University. He previously served as Director of the Sixth Investigation Office and later became Deputy Director of the Provincial Supervision Committee among other positions. Prior to his appointment, Sun Jiguang born in May 1969 previously served as a member of Changchun Municipal Standing Committee and Director of Changchun Supervision Committee before taking up a new role at Yiqi Group in October 2024 as a member of the party committee and supervisor from National Supervision Commission for People’s Republic Of China at Yiqi Group.
