After Feixi County made progress for three years, Hefei Changfeng County has become the second “billion-dollar county” in Anhui Province
After three years, the second county with a regional GDP of over 100 billion yuan in Anhui Province has been officially announced.
On January 4, 2025, the “Hefei Release” WeChat official account announced that on the same day, the Fourth Session of the 12th People’s Congress of Changfeng County, Hefei opened. In 2024, Changfeng County firmly established the strategic positioning of the “main battlefield and new engine” and the construction goals of the “three strong counties”. By focusing on economy, improving capabilities, and optimizing the environment, it successfully completed its annual targets and became the second “billion-county” in the province.
According to the announcement, in 2024, Changfeng County achieved “five hundred billion” developments historically. It is expected that the county’s total regional GDP will exceed 100 billion yuan, with a growth rate of about 10%. The output value of large-scale industrial enterprises exceeded 200 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 28%, ranking first in the province. Hefei BYD became the city’s first billion-dollar automobile manufacturing enterprise. The new energy and intelligent networking automobile industry’s output value exceeded 100 billion yuan, which is unique in the province. Xiatang Town became the first billion-dollar industrial town in the province.
In this year, Changfeng County’s development momentum became stronger. The three major “national pillars” were accelerated, and the five major “scientific and technological innovation platforms” were fully launched. BYD’s total vehicle production reached 95 million vehicles, with its new energy vehicle production ranking first in China’s county region. Xiatang Automobile City added an additional 11 square kilometers of urban development boundaries. The “822” project from negotiation to construction took only 60 days, once again refreshing the “Hefei speed”.
The first “billion-county” in Anhui Province is Feixi County in Hefei City. According to the unified calculation results of regional GDP, Feixi County achieved a regional GDP of 1018.7 billion yuan in 2021, with a year-on-year growth rate of 13.7%, becoming the first billion-dollar county in Anhui Province.
