Tsinghua University: the current proportion of our graduates in China is about 91.7%.
According to a post on the official WeChat account of Tsinghua University on January 3, the employment data for the 2024 graduates of Tsinghua University has been released recently. The proportion of graduates pursuing further studies abroad is 9.6%. Specifically, 18.4% of undergraduate students and 7.3% of master students choose to study abroad for further education. The average proportion of Tsinghua graduates studying abroad in the past ten years is 10.5%.
The school also introduced that according to the “Tsinghua People” applet, among all the alumni who have filled in their current locations and are certified, about 91.7% are currently in China. Most of the Tsinghua graduates who studied abroad after graduation have returned to their motherland after completing their studies. Taking the graduates from 2002 to 2011 as an example, 92.4% of alumni who filled in their locations are in China, and more than 60% of alumni who studied abroad have returned.
The employment rate of key units in important fields for the 2024 graduates of Tsinghua University is over 85% in domestic areas. Among them, the number of graduates who went to manufacturing and energy industries has increased by 11% year-on-year, with continuous growth for five years. The proportion of doctoral graduates employed in academic fields is 47.8%, which has been over 45% for five consecutive years.
The employment rate of Tsinghua graduates in key units in important fields in China has been over 80% for more than ten years. The top industries with the highest number of employed graduates are information transmission, software and information technology services, education, and scientific research and technology services.
In addition, the employment rate of the 2024 graduates of Tsinghua University outside Beijing reached 56.2%, exceeding 50% for ten consecutive years. The number of graduates who went to work in western and northeastern regions increased by 16.5% year-on-year, which doubled compared to 2020.
