China Railway Group has set the main work objectives for this year, aiming to put into operation 2600 kilometers of new lines.
On January 2, the working conference of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd (China Railway Corporation, CRC) was held in Beijing.

At the conference, CRC established the main work objectives for 2025: to maintain sustained stability in railway safety; to complete the passenger sending volume of 4.28 billion persons and an increase of 4.9% year-on-year in national railways, and complete the cargo sending volume of 4.03 billion tons with an increase of 1.1% year-on-year; to fully complete the national railway investment tasks, high-quality promote key national projects, strive to complete the capital construction investment of 590 billion yuan, and put new lines into operation with a length of 2,600 kilometers; to complete the total transportation income of 1 trillion 16 billion yuan, increase revenue by 25.8 billion yuan and increase by 2.6% year-on-year; and to adhere to green development, and promote the peak carbon emission reduction and carbon neutrality of railways in a practical and steady manner.
