Official disclosure: Xu Huijie, former director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, has committed serious violations of discipline and law.
Xu Huijie, former director of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, has recently been disclosed for serious violations of discipline and law.
According to the Beijing Daily, on December 20, the sixth plenary session of the 13th Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China was held, during which the report on Xu Huijie’s serious violations of discipline and law was reviewed and approved.
Previously, at the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress held on May 31, a decision was made to remove Xu Huijie from his position as director of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission.
Public information shows that Xu Huijie, born in November 1971, is of Han ethnicity and hails from Liuyang, Hunan Province. He joined the Communist Party in March 1996 and began working in May 1996. He graduated with a master’s degree in engineering from Beijing University of Science and Technology, and is currently a doctoral candidate in engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, where he is pursuing a doctorate in urban rail engineering. He is a senior engineer with a professor-level title.
Xu Huijie has held various positions, including deputy director of the technology department at Beijing Subway Operation Co., Ltd., deputy director and then director of the real estate management department, deputy general manager, deputy secretary of the party committee, general manager, secretary of the party committee, and chairman. In April 2022, he was appointed secretary of the party group of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, and in March of the following year, he was appointed as director.
In May 2024, Li Jun, who previously served as secretary and director of the party group of the Beijing Key Station District Management Committee, will succeed Xu Huijie as secretary of the party group of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission and later be appointed as director.
The Paper noted that since August of this year, several individuals, including Rong Jun, former member of the party group and deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, and Liu Ran, former director of the Fangshan Road Bureau of the Municipal Transportation Commission, have been reported for serious violations of discipline and law and are under investigation.
