Wu Zhongqiong has been appointed as the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee.

According to Jiangxi TV’s “Jiangxi News Broadcast,” a meeting of the expanded Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress was held on December 16. Wu Zhongqiong attended the meeting in her capacity as the Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress.

Wu Zhongqiong, female, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1964 in Wuhan, Hubei. She began her career in August 1988 and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1987. She holds a master’s degree in engineering and is a senior engineer.

In her early career, she served as the Chief Engineer of the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, Secretary and Deputy Director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Anshan City, and Director of the Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission. In January 2018, she was transferred to serve as the Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province, and in July 2020, she became a Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Vice Governor. In January 2021, she was appointed as a Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee, and since November 2021, she has been serving as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee.

In December of this year, Wu Zhongqiong stepped down from her positions as Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee.
