The reservation service for ticket purchasing by workers has been launched on 12306, ensuring travel for key groups.
According to reporters from The Paper, the Railway 12306 Science and Technology Center announced that on December 15, the Railway 12306 mobile application will launch a reservation ticket purchasing service for workers. Eligible travelers can book round-trip train tickets for the 2025 Spring Festival travel season through a dedicated section, making travel more convenient for key groups of passengers during this period.
A relevant person in charge at the Railway 12306 Science and Technology Center stated that the railway department adheres to a people-centered development philosophy and implements measures to benefit the public. Based on the experiences from the 2024 Spring Festival ticket reservation services for workers, it has scientifically analyzed travel patterns and optimized the functions of the Railway 12306 system. The dedicated reservation service for workers will continue during the 2025 Spring Festival, effectively ensuring travel for key groups.
From December 15, 2024, to February 7, 2025, workers who have passed real-name verification can reserve tickets at the “Worker Spring Festival Reservation Service” section of the Railway 12306 mobile application for travel from December 31, 2024, to February 23, 2025. Each account can submit up to three orders simultaneously, with each order allowing a combination of five “train number + seat class” options for a single travel date, accommodating reservations for up to nine travelers, including themselves. Workers can submit ticket reservation requests up to 17 days before departure and can make the latest reservation for tickets on February 23, 2025. Requests submitted before 11 PM, 17 days prior will be processed, with results available on the 16th day before departure. Payment must be completed before 11 PM on the same day if the reservation is successful; otherwise, the order will be automatically canceled.
The official stated that the railway department will continue to optimize the Railway 12306 system functions to provide more convenient and efficient ticket purchasing services for travelers. Additionally, travelers are reminded that the Railway 12306 website (including the mobile app) is the only official online ticket sales platform for China Railways and has never authorized any third-party platforms to sell tickets. Purchasing tickets through third-party platforms may expose travelers to added fees, bundled services “traps,” and risks of personal information leakage. Travelers should ensure they buy tickets through official railway channels, confirm the authenticity of the Railway 12306 official website and “Railway 12306” official app, and check that the ticket payment recipient is “China Railway Network Co., Ltd.” to avoid issues with refunds or changes later.
