Zhang Yingjie, the President of the Yunnan Provincial Higher People’s Court, has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

According to the website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, on December 13, the State Council appointed and removed national officials, including the appointment of Zhang Yingjie as the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Zhang Yingjie, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in April 1968 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. He began his career in July 1991 and joined the Communist Party of China in February 1997. He graduated from Nanjing University with a degree in Economic Law from the Law School and holds a Master’s degree in Law.

Zhang Yingjie has worked for a long time in Shantou, Guangdong Province, where he has held various positions, including a member of the Standing Committee of the Shantou Municipal Committee and Secretary-General, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shantou Municipal Committee, Deputy Mayor of Shantou, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group. In 2016, he served as the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Guangzhou Intermediate People’s Court, as well as a Senior Judge (equivalent to a department head level). In 2021, he became the President and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court in Guangdong Province.

At the beginning of 2023, Zhang Yingjie was appointed as the Deputy President and Acting President of the Yunnan Provincial Higher People’s Court, and later served as the President and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Yunnan Provincial Higher People’s Court.
