Wu Zhongqiong is no longer serving as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee.
According to an update on December 13 from the “Jiangxi Provincial Leaders” section of the Dajiang Network (China Jiangxi Network), Wu Zhongqiong is no longer serving as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee.
Wu Zhongqiong, female, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1964 in Wuhan, Hubei. She began her career in August 1988 and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1987. She holds a master’s degree in engineering and is a senior engineer.
In her early career, she served as the Chief Engineer of the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of the Anshan Municipal Committee, and Director of the Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission. In January 2018, she was transferred to serve as the Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province, and in July 2020, she became a member of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Vice Governor. In January 2021, she was appointed as a member of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee, and from November 2021, she served as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee.
The Dajiang Network (China Jiangxi Network) biography indicates that in December of this year, Wu Zhongqiong stepped down from her position as Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee and currently serves as the Secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee and the First Vice President of the Jinggangshan Cadre Academy.
Recently, Chen Yongqi, who previously served as the Deputy Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee and Executive Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee. On December 12, Chen Yongqi presided over a special meeting of the Provincial Rural Work Leading Group.
