Liaoning Launches Internet Celebrity Economy Cooperation and Exchange Week, With Hosts and Fans Totaling Over 116 Million

The First China (Liaoning) Internet Celebrity Economy Cooperation and Exchange Week Kicks Off in Shenyang

On November 19, the First China (Liaoning) Internet Celebrity Economy Cooperation and Exchange Week, themed “Enhancing Internet Celebrity Economy, Boosting Consumer Momentum,” kicked off in Shenyang. Hao Peng, the provincial party secretary and chairman of the provincial standing committee, attended the opening ceremony and announced the commencement of the event week.

Why is Liaoning planning to gather internet celebrity resources?
According to Liaoning Daily, Li Lecheng, deputy secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and governor, stated in his speech that Liaoning boasts a rich historical culture, obvious opening-up advantages, numerous special products, abundant cultural and tourism resources, thriving e-commerce live streaming bases, and a gathering of live streaming talents, providing unique conditions for developing the internet celebrity economy. Currently, the entire province is thoroughly implementing the important speeches, instructions, and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China and Liaoning, striving to implement the three-year action for new breakthroughs in comprehensive revitalization, and Liaoning is becoming a fertile ground where all kinds of talents can make a difference and achieve great things. He hoped that the participating guests would actively engage in the Liaoning practice of Chinese-style modernization, tell Liaoning stories, promote Liaoning brands, and market Liaoning products, allowing more “Liaoning quality products” to reach the nation and the world, and enabling more people to integrate into and love Liaoning. They will continue to create a market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment, optimize the development ecology of the e-commerce industry, turn traffic into “constants” and internet celebrities into “long-term successes,” and jointly write a new chapter of win-win cooperation.

He believes that Liaoning will surely become a new highland for live streaming e-commerce featuring “internet celebrity talents,” and the internet celebrity groups represented by “influencer broadcasters,” “factory broadcasters,” and “village broadcasters” will surely become an important force in promoting consumption expansion and industrial transformation and upgrading.
It is reported that this event week received strong support from internet celebrity broadcasters and platform institutions across the country. A total of 12,000 cooperative internet celebrity broadcasters from e-commerce live streaming bases throughout the province provided support, collectively promoting Liaoning’s high-quality consumer goods and special agricultural products, enhancing the influence of Liaoning’s internet celebrity economy across the entire network, and providing an important platform and significant opportunity for empowering the transformation and upgrading of Liaoning’s industries, improving and expanding consumption, and promoting the integrated development of culture, sports, and tourism.
According to public information, among the guests attending the opening ceremony of this event, there were over 70 broadcasters with more than 100,000 fans, including over 30 broadcasters with more than one million fans, and several broadcasters with nearly ten million fans were also present. The total number of fans of the attending broadcasters exceeded 116 million.
The relevant person in charge of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce stated that Liaoning’s live streaming economy has obvious advantages, leading the development scale in the three northeastern provinces, with diverse e-commerce scenarios and fertile soil for cultivating live streaming talents. In recent years, the province has continuously innovated new scenarios for online consumption by adopting a series of measures such as policy guidance, typical demonstration, and cultivation of live streaming carriers. The internet celebrity economy, represented by live streaming sales, has become an important driving force for maintaining growth in the province’s consumer market.
