The Chinese Ecological Society and the Chinese Meteorological Society Announce the First List of Fellows

Recently, numerous professional societies in China have announced their newly elected and additional members. The reporter from The Paper noticed that the Chinese Ecological Society has released its list of founding members, while the Chinese Meteorological Society has unveiled its first batch of members.
Recently, the official website of the Chinese Ecological Society issued a notice: In order to improve the membership system of the Chinese Ecological Society, establish an academic recognition system, encourage members to continuously climb the peak of science and technology, and promote the development of ecological sciences in China, the Chinese Ecological Society has established a member system.
According to the provisions of the “Chinese Ecological Society Member Regulations,” founding members are Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academicians engaged in ecology-related research, as well as past presidents of the society. Upon invitation by the society and with the consent of the individuals, the third executive council meeting of the 11th council of the Chinese Ecological Society deliberated and approved the decision to confer the title of Founding Honorary Member of the Chinese Ecological Society to 13 individuals (aged 80 and above), including Wang Zuwang, and the title of Founding Member of the Chinese Ecological Society to 30 individuals, including Yu Guirui.
According to the Chinese Meteorological News, on November 23, at the symposium held in Qingdao, Shandong, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Meteorological Society and discussing the modernization of meteorological science and technology, the Chinese Meteorological Society officially announced its first batch of members. Thirty academicians from the CAS and CAE in the field of meteorology, including Zeng Qingcun, were elected.
Members of the Chinese Meteorological Society represent the highest level of membership within the society, awarded to renowned individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the society or have had a major impact within the industry. The first batch of members recognized this time are all members of the society who are academicians of the CAS or CAE. They have achieved outstanding accomplishments in meteorology and related fields, making notable contributions to the high-quality development of meteorology.
In accordance with the provisions of the “Regulations for Members of the Chinese Meteorological Society (Provisional),” after nomination, recommendation, and deliberation by the 29th Council (Executive Council) of the Chinese Meteorological Society, the first batch of members of the Chinese Meteorological Society is now announced (in order of the time when they were elected as academicians).
