TOEFL iBT and GRE Open Registration for Regular Tests Next Year on November 25

On November 22, The Paper learned from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) that ETS and the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA) have jointly studied, discussed, and decided to open registration for the 2025 TOEFL iBT and GRE General Tests on November 25, 2024, at 14:00. In 2025, there will be 67 TOEFL iBT tests across 41 test dates and 31 GRE General Tests across 29 test dates.

In order to better cater to the usage habits of Chinese users and create a seamless one-stop information and resource product, ETS officially launched the “TOEFL Official Platform” mini program in June 2024. Besides providing modules such as recognized institution search, online practice, official event registration, and official community engagement, the TOEFL official mini program has recently launched new features. Starting from September 13, 2024, TOEFL candidates can check test seats and receive timely reminders of test seat updates through the mini program. In the future, candidates will also be able to receive score release reminders through the mini program, allowing them to know their TOEFL scores immediately. ETS will continuously improve and upgrade the functions of the mini program to provide localized, convenient, and comprehensive services to candidates. By searching for “TOEFL Official Platform” on WeChat, candidates can view the TOEFL official mini program and access related services. Candidates can also visit the NEEA’s TOEFL iBT registration website at https://toefl.neea.cn or the NEEA’s GRE registration website at https://gre.neea.cn/ to obtain information about test centers, test dates, registration procedures, and preparation resources.

ETS and the NEEA will closely monitor registration and test seat availability, and will add new test sessions and test center arrangements as necessary, including afternoon sessions on specified dates. ETS advises candidates to register early to secure their preferred test center and test date.
