From now on, the railway transportation in the Yangtze River Delta has started to accept offline registration for purchasing group tickets for migrant workers during Spring Festival.
On December 27th, reporters from The Paper learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Railway Group) that from now until January 27th, 2025, a total of 32 days, the Changjiang Delta railway will provide offline group bus service for the Spring Festival transportation in 2025.

Shanghai Railway Group will accept offline group bus applications for workers in a dedicated window. The applicants should be organizations such as enterprises and institutions that organize their employees to return home or to the city together, as well as non-profit groups organized by government agencies and institutions. The group should have the same departure and arrival stations on the same date and train number, with a minimum of one carriage full of passengers. The trains and seats available for booking are limited to passenger trains operated by Shanghai Railway Group from January 14th, 2025 to February 22nd, 2025. Group customers can choose their own date, train number, departure and arrival stations, and seat type (hard seat and second-class seat only). If a whole train is rented, it will be an additional train.
During the period from December 27th, 2024 to January 27th, 2025, major railway stations at the level of prefecture-level cities and above in the Yangtze River Delta will accept qualification verification and bus rental applications from group customers. Group customers need to submit documents such as the application letter for the Spring Festival transportation group bus rental of their units, a copy of the enterprise business license, and a copy of the original identity card of the handler. The railway station will sign a “Booking Agreement for Spring Festival Transportation Group Tickets” with the group customer, which needs to be stamped with the enterprise and legal person’s seal.
According to relevant staff from the passenger department of Shanghai Railway Group, offline group tickets for workers are generally only accepted if the bus rental application is made at least 18 days before the train departure time. If the ticket application of the group customer is fulfilled, they should make tickets and payment at one time within the specified time limit. Railway departments reminded that those who need further consultation and understanding of offline handling related sites, service processes and matters for group tickets of workers in 2025 can call the railway customer service at 12306.
