On December 23rd, the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee held a press conference for the 15th Plenary Session of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Economic Work Conference to introduce the relevant situation of the plenary session and the economic work conference and answer questions from reporters.
The event was held on December 21st in Hangzhou, and the meeting summarized the work of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in 2024, with a focus on researching and deploying economic work in 2025.
Thepaper.cn learned from the press conference on the 23rd that the current plenary session of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee focused on “promoting high-quality economic development and firmly carrying the responsibility of taking the lead as a major economic province”, and clarified nine key tasks: First, giving better play to the supporting and guarantees role of policies to maximize policy dividends. Second, focusing on major project construction to further optimize the investment structure and improve investment efficiency. Third, accelerating the construction of an innovative Zhejiang and developing new productive forces in light of local conditions to create a modern industrial system. Fourth, vigorously stimulating and expanding consumption to further enhance the basic role of consumption in promoting development. Fifth, promoting high-level opening up to accelerate the construction of a high-level open strong province. Sixth, taking the “thousand projects” as a guide to promote high-quality urban-rural integration and narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas. Seventh, accelerating the implementation of major reforms, continuously improving the reputation of private economy as a “golden brand”, and continuously enhancing development momentum and vitality. Eighth, accelerating green and low-carbon development and constructing a high-level ecological province. Ninth, guaranteeing and improving people’s livelihoods to further enhance people’s well-being.
It is reported that for these key tasks, the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee will further refine and quantify them, clarify “what to do”, “who will do it”, and “how to do it”, form a pattern of task decomposition, pressure transmission, and work implementation at all levels to ensure that each task can be implemented and accounted for.
